Hello! I'm Duke Walsh, a freshman at UNL. My major is Sport Media and Communication with a double major in Broadcasting. I am from Oak Park, Illinois, and have a strong interest in sports journalism as I worked for my high school's newspaper for two and a half years. I was a PA announcer for all of the athletic events that occured at my high school, and that was the reason I chose to go into the sports media major here at UNL.
There are many places I was to go into. I wish to go into the sports world as a PA announcer, or maybe a play by play announcer. I also have a passion to go back to my high school after my years of PA announcing there and I would like to create a broadcasting program.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, hiking, and exploring new technologies. I alsoslove to travel and experience different cultures. I also really enjoy being with my friends and I also like playing video games. I am a referee for High school football, basketball, and volleyball.
